The company was acquired by a large, European Private Equity business and the new owners instigated a strong and ambitious investment programme which included a major focus on the quality and depth of talent in their senior management team. As a result, Drayton Partners were briefed to search and secure fours positions
- Marketing Director
- Head of UK Category Management
- Head of Innovation
- Business Unit Controller
These four individuals were required to be at the top of their peer group, "blue-chip" trained whilst also able to prosper in a smaller, dynamic environment.
Drayton Partners Approach
All four searches ran concurrently and were led on an exclusive basis by one of the senior team at Drayton Partners, backed by our senior researcher. The first stage was a complete map of the market for each role, encompassing both UK and internationally based individuals.
Drayton Partners led the initial screening with the result being a shortlist of five individuals for each role.
The Marketing Director, Head of Innovation and Business Unit Controller roles were filled within 10 weeks. The Category role was more challenging due to the shortage of individuals who have the right technical skills combined with that essential leadership capability. The successful individual was subsequently secured within 14 weeks. All four individuals are now "in situ", and have subsequently used Drayton Partners to recruit for their own teams.
