This heritage Outdoor brand recognised it was imperatrive to further devlop its capability in connecting and engaging with its core consumers. It needed to strengthen its digital presence and also better understand its core consumers by recruiting a first class individual to head up its Digital Marketing function.
A key focus for the successful person was a core strength in Search Engine Optimisation, to fully maximise the reach for the company’s transactional website. Along with building their Social Media presence and connecting with core and new consumers. This represented an opportunity for someone to really come in a make a significant impact to this area of the business, in a period where the company is growing and its product going from strength to strength.

Whilst there are many digital marketers in the market, the challenge was finding someone who had all the attributes required, had the right cultural fit and importantly was willing to relocate to the city/country where the role was based. The company had exhausted its search locally and felt it would take someone to relocate internationally. We really went deeply into our network to find and source the right calibre, to ensure that out shortlist was ambitious.
The successful candidate was a really good fit, both from a competence/expertise perspective and also culturally. He had a wealth of experience from a very established retailer in the UK, had progressed very quickly there and was ready to take on a new challenge, which had more of an international focus. The first 2 months or so have so far gone very well and promises to be a really good appointment. He’s even learning to ski for the first time!
