March 2020

A record breaking night for GroceryAid at their annual charity ball.

This year’s event raised a record breaking £711,500, a fantastic sum that will play such an important role in helping people in our industry.

Drayton and friends were proud to attend the 2020 GroceryAid Ball.

We were delighted to play our own, small, part in Grocery Aid’s amazing Annual Ball on the evening of March 5th at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel, London. This is our 3rd time attending and each year we are left feeling proud to be a supporter of this fantastic charity, particularly after learning that in 2019 GroceryAid helped and supported through the Helpline, over 15,700 people from factories, wholesale, retail – all parts of the grocery trade.

This year’s event raised a record breaking £711,500, a fantastic sum that will play such an important role in helping people in our industry.

The event always has a real buzz and positive feeling running through it, with over 160 companies in attendance including Asda, Bestway, Booker, Marks and Spencer, Nisa Retail, Ocado, One Stop, Rontec Roadside Retail, Sainsbury's, Spar, Tesco, The Co-operative Group, Waitrose & Partners & Wm Morrison Supermarkets. The Drayton team were also able to catch up with so many of our friends in the sector.

Huge thanks to GroceryAid for a putting on a truly fantastic evening, looking forward to next year’s already.
