Drayton Partners and guests attend Grocery Aid 2016 Leadership Symposium.

"A highlight for all was the opportunity to gain a further understanding of the work undertaken by the charity throughout the year and beyond"

Drayton Partners were delighted to attend this year’s Grocery Aid Leadership Symposium, taking away plenty of insight and inspiration following a highly engaging schedule. The event was held at the Rothamsted Research Centre, a hub focused on promoting collaboration and innovation by pairing with commercial agricultural technology businesses.

The agenda for the day was jam packed, celebrating all that is great about the Food and Drink industry, with a series of presentations and networking sessions from many influential leaders. A few of our highlights would have to be hearing from Gold medal winner Dame Kelly Holmes, who provided much motivation for following your dreams and creating goals, Jeremy Thompson of Sky News concluded his thoughts and experiences following the recent US Election, which was a strong talking point amongst many guests and speakers, as well as an insightful roundup of where the FMCG market is headed from Sainsbury’s Brand Director, Judith Batchelar OBE.

A further highlight for all in attendance, was the opportunity to gain a further understanding of the work undertaken by Grocery Aid throughout the year and beyond, specifically how the charity helps people who have worked, or are working, in all areas of Grocery.

Joining Drayton on the day, was a small group of senior influencers from the Consumer sector, combined with key partners from the specialist corporate finance and private equity space.
