York Races continues to be a highlight in Drayton's Food & Drink networking calendar.

The dead cert of the day was Franke Dettori racing on Stradivarius, but there was a lot less certainty about the current trading conditions within the major food and drink retailers and this generated much of the discussion and debate.

On Friday 17th May, Drayton were delighted to host a day at York Races, the 3rd year we have run this event. This has become a firm favourite within our Food & Drink networking calendar and we welcomed clients and friends of the business. It was fantastic to have such a diverse group of people including representatives from branded & own label food manufacturers, premium drinks bottlers and retailers.

This particular event is always a highlight, allowing our guests a chance to enjoy a relaxed day watching and taking in the excitement of the racing, along with beneficial networking with fellow Senior and Director level contacts. The discussion and informal debates are lively and engaging and provide an opportunity for individuals from different areas of the food industry to come together to share experiences and insight.

Ian Pickett, Partner at Drayton commented on the success of the event:

"We were yet again blessed with good weather which meant that we were able to enjoy all of the hospitality that York Races has to offer. It was great to have so many people from such a diverse range of food businesses. The dead cert of the day was Franke Dettori racing on Stradivarius, but there was a lot less certainty about the current trading conditions within the major food and drink retailers and this generated much of the discussion and debate.”
