Account Director for the North American market for a fast growing European Outdoor & Lifestyle brand

With the brand already established in North America, this is an opportunity for someone to come in and drive the significant growth opportunity at a key account and online level, whilst positioning the brand optimally in the market to attract and appeal to the brands core consumer

The Role

  • Deliver strong and sustainable sales growth at KA level to meet agreed annual sales and profit targets.
  • Directly own and manage the Key Account business. Create a strategy/approach to significantly increase key account business across Omni Channel and Pure Players while identifying our future strategic partners.
  • Own the development and execution of the Key Account Go-to-Market plans and ensure sales strategies, assortments and activities are aligned with brand goals/initiatives to maximize consumer connections, brand positioning and financial objectives.
  • Maintain and build solid relationships with buyers, planners, and senior management of key accounts to secure OTB opportunities.
  • Own, deliver and update product forecasts on rolling basis to assist internal buying team.
  • Manage and coordinate direct reports, independent sales reps for key accounts, and cross functional teams.
  • Acquire thorough understanding of key customer requirements/needs and champion them throughout the organization including the sharing of data to gain insights and maximize opportunity.
  • Lead and represent key account product and merchandising needs at all internal product related meetings.

The Person

  • Proven track record of delivering strong growth with major key accounts in the sports industry.
  • A ‘big thinker’ at KA level, experienced in putting together, initiating, and implementing big KA programs.
  • Multi-Channel account management experience, including comfort and experience in the digital arena.
  • Experience and understanding in brand positioning and executing local marketing strategies to best position a brand.
  • Strong financial planning, retail math, strategy and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills with ability to be decisive and communicate across a variety of networks.
  • Commercial, result driven and curious by nature while being self-motivated and independent.
