Head Of Sales for iconic haircare brand

Drayton Partners are currently partnering an iconic haircare brand to support the recruitment of a new and essential member of their team.

The Head of Sales will be responsible for managing current and new distribution channels within the the UK. The critical focus is Boots with overall accountability for developing a commercial trading relationship with results orientation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of Retails sales and invoiced sales versus agreed budgets/KPI’s.
  • Development of fiscal year planning including account P&L management /spends, ensuring balance of profitable growth/top-line sales.
  • Development of activity calendars including: promotions, GWP’s and product/segment launches (rolling 18 month plan).
  • Matrix connection with contract manufacturing partner.
  • Critical internal matrix in working with Marketing, Ops, Creative to drive marketing materials (on time, quality, on costs and with in-store stand out versus competition).
  • Clear internal financial reporting for all KPI’s on a weekly/monthly basis – with proactive problem solving and decision making.
  • Accountable for leading and managing the JBP and associated contracts with Boots ensuring clear advantage for the business.
  • Development of the Boots.com channel.
  • Ambassador and protector of the brand and business!
  • Lead for strategic expansion into additional value add retailers i.e. John Lewis.
  • Drive critical relationships to nurture future potential growth opportunities.

Person Specification

  • Proven NAM beauty experience
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to bring together financial assessment with business needs and decisions
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Articulate and strong communicator (written and verbal)
  • Working within a small, dynamic team and is comfortable with pushing the boundaries
  • Hair and Beauty Ambassador

This is a role for a dynamic and self-starting individual willing to engage with the brand and grow with the business. Haircare or beauty experience would be desirable as would exposure to a smaller, agile business. You may well currently be in a national accounts role and looking to grow your sales career in a high growth environment. Beauty experience and exposure to Boots and/or high street channels is preferred but not essential.
