London Sales Manager - Craft/Premium Beer

Our client, a family owned brewery and drinks manufacturer, based in Scotland, require a London Sales Manager to build the sales and brand presence of the product, with a focus on the London Market.

  • Location: London
  • Salary: c£40,000 plus bonus and benefits
  • Reports to: Managing Director

The Role

  • To open up profitable draft accounts to an agree target level
  • To promote the flagship brand to the target demographic by use of market activation activities/ promotional events and direct customer engagement
  • To build the customer base for profitable bottle accounts in the London market
  • To drive the London business forward, as a standalone profit centre

Essential Duties

  • Meeting with prospective customers to open up new accounts
  • Providing on-going customer support to these and other current customers to maximise product sales
  • Liaising with Marketing team to develop POS
  • Providing relevant POS to customers
  • Managing relationships with technical services for draft customers
  • Managing relationships with wholesalers / supply chain where relevant
  • Running promotional events (including at evening and weekends) to support the increasing of product sales
  • Ensuring that customers pay their accounts timeously
  • Managing pricing structures with customers to suit market demands

Other Duties:

  • Participate in beer related events, festivals, visitor tours to the Brewery in Scotland, customer relations and marketing/promotions/charitable events.
  • Supervision of more junior staff/ casual staff / temporary or work experience staff
  • Use IT across all functions to assist sales functions

Qualifications:

  • Graduate level
  • Proven sales ability
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Willingness to work flexibly and has a ‘can do’ approach to ensure that the company can meet sales targets
  • Ability to operate IT at a user level
  • Ability to work in a team, but must be a “self-starter”
  • Numerical skills to allow for essential compilation of sales data

Working conditions:

As a member of a small vibrant team the role involves a commitment to fulfil the task in the hours required. This may require working some evenings and weekends.
