The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the business, providing strategic direction and hands on engagement as the business continues to evolve. Set and achieve stretching growth targets across all key metrics.
- Responsible for the delivery of the business’ annual P&L and longer-term strategic plan. Operationally responsible for the business’ people and products.
- Support to deliver a highly-efficient operation and work with the wider supply chain team to deliver fantastic customer service.
- Strategically identify and evaluate new business opportunities; pursuing and winning profitable commercial contracts.
- Coach, develop and manage the senior leadership team. Identify areas of strength and weakness and develop appropriate action plans.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify potential acquisition targets and understand how they could be integrated into the business whilst identifying the commercial advantages that this would bring.
- Build a collaborative relationship with the key customers and maintains its reputation for producing fantastic, high-quality products.
The Person
The successful individual will need to be able to adapt to being hands-on whilst bringing strategic oversight and high-impact team leadership. The Managing Director will lead a business with huge potential and as a result, the successful MD will need to be able to define a clear vision whilst delivering change from the outset. Comfortable working under pressure and a positive, can-do mindset will be pre-requisites for success.
