THE ROLE
The individual appointed would manage all aspects of the relationships between the business and National Accounts under their remit. This will be a combination of both existing businesses to manage and grow, but also new accounts to open up and develop new business with. Annual Sales budgets will be set for each account.
Key responsibilities include:
- The development and agreement of joint business plans, and the implementation of both annual promotional programmes and category initiatives.
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager to identify brand opportunities in the business to ensure every decision made is evaluated for both a turnover and profit reason.
- Approach and open up new accounts for the business.
- Develop and implement customer JBP’s & promo programme in line with brand guidelines.
- Work with the rest of the Multiple Retail NAM team to share best practice with shared goals.
- To manage the commercial impact of all decisions to maximise the sales and profitability of all customers, and at the same time ensure payment terms are adhered to in full
- To build the influence and reputation of Petty Wood with customers and brand principles
- Support the Sales Director in the development of appropriate channel and company level plans.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of Category management principles.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG marketplace.
- Creative problem solver capable of dealing with considerable ambiguity whilst achieving goals.
- Strong IT skills, capable of creating and amending documents in Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent verbal & written communication.
