The Business

Since the original tommee tippee spill-proof child cup was first launched over 50 years ago, the brand has become renowned for its intuitive products which help children make the transition from first latch to independent feeding.

tommee tippee is now the number-one brand of baby feeding accessories in the UK and remains one of the most trusted and recognisable baby brands in the world, loved by babies and recommended by generations of parents.

The brand is entering into a hugely exciting phase of global growth and development, with new owners in place who have ambitious plans to at least double the size of the business over the next 3-5 years through a mix of organic growth and acquisitions.

The Marketing team will be at the heart of this growth, developing and delivering strategies that will focus on increasing the strength of the brand and product proposition on a global basis.

The business has a positive and engaging culture, where people are given the freedom to work with high levels of accountability and autonomy. Many of the leadership team have previously spent time in large FMCG corporates, but are now relishing the opportunity of playing a significant role in the development of a high growth organisation.

It’s a fantastic time to join a company that plays a special part in the lives of both young children and their parents.

The Role

The Senior Global Product Manager is responsible for the commercial and creative development of global NPD initiatives, in order to deliver incremental Sales and Profit performance.

Once a project scope has been defined by the Global Category team, you will be fully accountable for development of the business case – including product specification, design and packaging, as well as financial evaluation and associated cap-ex sign-off.

You will then work in collaboration with other leaders in the business, to ensure that relevant new product - which will grow category and regional profitability, enhance the tommee tippee brand, and delight consumers - is available on-shelf, on time, via chosen distribution outlets.

In this role you will also be responsible for developing the commercial mandate, business case and cap-ex request for Global ‘Blockbuster innovation’ projects and leading development of:

NPD launch stories, supported by Global Digital & Comms team. Market research brief & reports, ensuring that insights are shared widely and support the trade selling story. Global artwork & design briefs, in-order to ensure a distinctive style & design. Implementing regular Global meetings with Commercial and Brands teams to update/align on priority NPD project status Communicating new product launches across the business, to engage everyone in the success. The Person

You will have at least 5-10 years’ Product Development experience within the FMCG or Consumer Goods sector and a successful track record of delivering revenue growth via NPD.

Your expertise will be in developing an in-depth understanding of market trends and consumer behaviour, then using this knowledge to create a pipeline of compelling product development.

This could be in the form of NPD, where true innovation will excite consumers and provide commercial stimulation to a category. Or alternatively in the form of EPD, where current products can be enhanced to give consumers an improved experience.

Educated to Degree level – preferably (but not essential) in a Science or Engineering discipline, you will be a self-starter by nature with a positive, resilient ‘can do’ attitude. You will also have strong collaboration & influencing skills – proven in a global/matrix corporate structure.

If you feel that you have the skills and experience to play a key leadership role in this rapidly evolving global success story, then we’d love to hear from you.
