Technical Manager for premium food manufacturer

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced, strategically-minded Technical Manager to join a highly-regarded and well-established premium food manufacturer, based in South West England. Our client manufactures much-loved premium branded products and prides itself on its product, heritage and continued high standards.

The Role

A proven Technical Manager, you will be a dynamic leader, capable of working in a fast-paced and varied role. As part of the senior leadership team on site, you will be a strategic thinker with the experience of driving quality within a food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Giving sound technical input to the business and playing an active role in strategic decision making to ensure the safe production of food to protect consumers.
  • Developing and coordinating resources to deliver these requirements in a timely manner.
  • Effectively leading teams and inspiring others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence.
  • Ensuring that teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements on a day-to-day basis across project phases and throughout all initiatives.
  • Overseeing Quality Management System audits.
  • Management of complex technical projects.
  • Development and integration of customer-focused solutions.
  • Leading the Technical Function to ensure that the teams are engaged and high-performing with a focus on problem-solving and team work.

The Person

This role would suit an established Technical Manager or Senior Quality Manager, with demonstrable experience of successfully leading a Technical team. You'll be educated to a degree (or similar) level and hold NEBOSH or equivalent. You'll also have a solid understanding of BRC and HACCP and be a role-model for health, safety and food hygiene.
