UK Country Manager for global supplier of performance apparel, footwear and equipment

The Role

  • Lead, manage, enable and develop the UK wholesale team.
  • Direct contact to and close cooperation with agents.
  • Create strategic plans, distribution plans and business models for the Sales Area.
  • Grow existing business, including but not limited to, driving range expansion and seek out further growth opportunities by new business.
  • Ensure target fulfilment in the Sales Area with a focus on realised net margins.
  • Create focused merchandise plans for the Sales Area, interact with product/marketing teams and ensure understanding of Sales Area during GTM process.
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate key stories, initiatives, proposals of assortment and selling activities at all times during the sales process.
  • Provide regular local market feedback on competition, pricing, products, strategies, new developments, etc.
  • Regular reporting: Information of management by sales reports and territory analyses.
  • Development and support of marketing activities within budgets and in close cooperation with the marketing department.

The Candidate

  • Degree in business administration or similar.
  • Sales driven and customer focused, 10 years+ experience in senior sales management and/or country management of outdoor / sporting goods or textiles.
  • Experienced and motivational leader of cross-functional teams.
  • Affinity / experience in retail and good understanding of online channels and physical retail.
  • Profitability management.
  • Strong communicator.
